What the service is

TraceScreen lets you record your screen, capture screenshots, and share them as links along with technical context about the page.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.

What you record

You keep ownership of everything you record. You give us only the permission needed to run the service — storing your recordings, transcoding them so they play in a browser, and serving them to the people you share with.

You agree not to use TraceScreen to:

• record people without a right to do so
• capture or distribute someone else’s confidential information
• host unlawful material, or material you have no right to share
• work around plan limits, or disrupt the service for anyone else

We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these terms. Where we can, we will tell you why.

Share links

A share link is unguessable, but anyone holding it can open the recording unless you set a passphrase. Treat a link like a key. You can revoke one at any time, and revoking takes effect immediately.

Plans and payment

Free plan limits are shown on the pricing page. Paid plans are not yet available; this section will be replaced before any payment is taken.

Availability

We try to keep the service running and your recordings safe, but it is provided as-is, without a guarantee of uptime or of freedom from faults. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, TraceScreen is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of the service.

Ending it

You can delete your account whenever you like, which deletes your recordings with it. We may close an account that breaks these terms.
